Ideally, a National Society has regular dialogue with public authorities at both local and national levels. This helps it understand whether it is perceived as a trusted organisation, if its services are seen as relevant and good quality, and where unmet needs exist that the Society could help address. Strategic planning is also a chance to strengthen relationships with authorities, improve communication, and reinforce the legal framework (Auxiliary Role) that supports this partnership.
